Abstract

This usage of cloud processing has grown alongside technological advancements. Computing resources have traditionally been associated with major corporations because of their high cost. Modern computing platforms can now provide on-demand applications that are accessible anytime and from any location. Cloud technology, like public utilities, relies on resource pooling to achieve consistency, scalability, and cost savings. As the demand for cloud services continues to increase, the risk of security threats also grows and becomes a significant concern. Since cloud service providers may have access to data stored in the cloud, security and privacy issues arise. Data can be altered or deleted either accidentally or intentionally. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA) algorithms are two of the most widely used encryption techniques for ensuring confidentiality and authentication. AES can encrypt and decrypt data efficiently, while RSA supports key management and authentication. This research article introduces and implements a hybrid encryption method based on these two security algorithms in a cloud environment, aiming to achieve enhanced security with fast processing efficiency.
