Abstract
The rapid advances in the development of immersive technologies including Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) have brought new opportunities to modern education. In this paper, we outline the design and implementation of AR/VR immersive perceiving environment for learning across disciplines. In contrast with existing works that are frequently tied to isolated-domain deployments or experimental proofs of concept, the proposed environment provides a fully validated, multi-disciplinary platform that fuses cutting-edge user personalization, real-time learner analytics, and collaborative virtual classrooms. The system features personalized learning pathways for the student’s portion and at the same time, it tackles several major issues that the literature has pinpointed to, like accessibility, scalability, and hardware requirement. In addition, the immersive simulation features provide safe testing of high risk or complicated educational situations which promotes experiential learning. AI-infused analytics built into the platform support real-time tracking of learner performance, cognitive load, and engagement, empowering both learners and educators with insights." Extensive validation indicates a significant enhancement of the engagement, retention and cognitive understanding of the learners. This paper presents a scalable, accessible, Industry 4.0-compliant educational solution that fills in the AR/VR education gaps and establishes a very good foundation for future immersive education systems.
